OPEN POSITION (Creative and Productive Hubs, Third Places, Research)

CENTRINNO Research Project Manager
(CDD, Paris)

Volumes is part of the european consortium who won a 4 years H2020 research funding with a proposal called CENTRINNO: New CENTRalities in INdustrial areas as engines for inNOvation and urban transformation.

Within this project, Volumes will be in charge of the following key actions:

  • to support the emergence of a european network of locally productive and globally connected hubs called Fab City Hubs including coworking spaces, makerspaces, urban farms, fab labs, civic factories and other third places.
  • to launch the Fab City Hub Paris, a new creative and productive hub focused on urban social innovation, sustainable food and robotic agriculture.
  • to host a series of cultural and educational events for tourists and the parisian public about sustainable and local food

Volumes is currently seeking a part-time Research Project Manager to run the project.

Volumes is looking for a non-conventional, highly creative and extremely well organised profile with a special attitude for innovation and research project management and a strong attitude for transdisciplinar roles. Ideal candidate will be a resilient person with previous experience in a highly innovative environment such as a creative hub, a fab lab or similar.

The following skills are requested :

  • English and French fluency, excellent writing skills are required
  • Good skills in project management, autonomy and proactive attitude
  • Previous experience in facilitating workshops
  • Excellent communication (online/offline) and collaboration skills
  • Good knowledge of digital communication tools including social networks, wordpress, slack, telegram and similar
  • Good knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Google docs and similar
  • Knowledge in urban and social innovation, creative hubs and third places
  • Empathy, generosity, kindness, and good predisposition to human relations, especially for event facilitation and community building

This position is a part-time, CDD-based, 12 month reneweable contract.

OPEN POSITION (Circular Economy, Computational Design, Research)

REFLOW Research Project Manager
(CDD, Paris)

Volumes initiated in 2018 a Working Group for Research and Development Project and took part in the elaboration of the Reflow Project which launched in June 2019. REFLOW is an EU H2020 funded project, from 2019 to 2022, that seeks to understand and transform urban material flows and to co-create and test circular and regenerative solutions at business, governance and citizen levels.

Within this project, one of the key actions assigned to Volumes is the creation of a series of educational and incubation programs in order to create design processes based on material reuse and circular economy.

For that, Volumes just launched a program called Driven by Volumes, a pre-incubation online and onsite program with the following focus : Embedding Advanced Computational Design Strategies in Early Stage Entrepreneurship.

Volumes is currently seeking a Research Project Manager adaptive to both the online and onsite running of the program.

Volumes is looking for a non-conventional, highly creative and inspired profile with a computational design background and a strong attitude for transdisciplinar roles. Ideal candidate will be a resilient person with previous experience in a highly innovative environment such as creative hubs, fab labs or similar.

The following skills are requested :

  • English and French fluency
  • Good knowledge of Design, Architecture, Construction, Robotics and/or Computational Design
  • Fluency in 3d modelling
  • Previous experience in digital fabrication
  • Excellent communication (online/offline) and collaboration skills
  • Social Network basic knowledge

A previous experience in an educational or incubation project would be a plus.

This position is a part-time, CDD-based, 6 month reneweable contract.
